-From Yahoo China on July 27,2010 据美国政府一位不愿公开姓名的高级官员近日透露,英国石油公司即将公布其“换帅”决定,现任首席执行官托尼·海沃德职位不保。该官员称,他是从一名英国石油公司高管处得知这一消息的,但继任人名单尚不明确。 旧帅请辞捧巨额养老金 与英国石油公司“换帅”决定几乎同时传出的是海沃德有可能在近日请辞的消息。据英国《每日电讯报》网站25日报道英国石油公司(BP)首席执行官托尼·海沃德有可能在未来24小时内辞职。 海 沃德现年53岁,1982年以地质学家身份加入英国石油公司,2007年接任首席执行官。按照公司规定,辞职的海沃德将在60岁之后获得每年58.4万英 镑的养老金。而BP将有可能允许现年53岁的海沃德提前领取养老金。按照海沃德与老东家的合同,离开后他将享受与现在一样的薪金和福利,即每年至少104 万英镑的报酬。据悉,海沃德去年的薪酬总额为456万英镑。 墨西哥湾漏油事件发生后,海沃德在应对工作中的诸多不当言行备受争议,如他曾称 漏油事件对环境的影响“非常非常有限”,而那句“我想找回自己的生活”更是招来众怒。6月份,就在控漏、堵漏工作难现进展之际,海沃德现身英国一场游艇大 赛,给英国石油公司原本受损的形象再次带来重挫,甚至美国总统奥巴马也曾表示不想再与海沃德一起合作。 新任疑似“美裔” 最有可能接替海沃德成为新帅的人选被认为是英国石油公司美国籍高管鲍勃·达德利。达德利现年54岁,一度负责英国石油公司在美国和亚洲地区的业务,三年前在首席执行官“争夺战”中败给海沃德。今年6月,他开始接手墨西哥湾漏油事件应对工作。 有分析人士指出,如果这一任命真的落地,则是BP强调美国对其重要性的具体体现。目前,BP公司约1/3的原油、气井、精炼厂和一些分公司都在美国,且其40%的股东都是美国人。 据了解,达德利此前曾在俄罗斯经营BP公司的一家合资企业,有知情人士透露,如果达德利成为BP的新掌门,一定会更快、更好地投入事故的解决并开展新的工作。 对于一些分析家及BP内部人士对达德利是否能操控好企业的整体变化的质疑,一些分析家也指出,达德利在历史上处理BP主要事件中从未出过差错,包括得克萨斯一个精炼厂的爆炸事故、阿拉斯加的管道问题以及此次事件。 据了解,达德利是一位化学工程师,在俄罗斯的高压环境下表现出非常优秀、专注的工作素质,2007年他曾被考虑任命为BP首席执行官,但是最终输给了海沃德。 二季度恐因堵漏报亏损 英国石油公司发言人托比·奥多内当天针对“换帅”传闻辟谣说:“他(海沃德)仍是英国石油首席执行官,公司董事会和高级管理层对他有信心。” 美国参议员玛丽·兰德里欧表示,对英国石油公司来说,妥善处理事情的态度比“换帅”更重要。 一场热带风暴迫使BP暂停堵漏行动,但未来几天内行动就有望恢复。届时,BP应该能够将泥浆泵入油井,进入堵漏行动的最后阶段。而BP集团的第二季度财报将于今日发布。据一些人预测,公司有可能在第二季度报出亏损,因为堵漏成本可能高达200亿美元。

-June 7,2010 Prudential released a statement yesterday, indicating they will not resurrect the AIA deal and that any speculation pertaining to this matter would be misleading and inaccurate. Prudential canceled the agreement to buy AIA last Thursday, for US$ 35.5 billion, after AIG directors refused to lower the price to US$ 30.4 billion.
